Zombadings – Advanced Screening In Iloilo
I first heard the buzz about Zombadings when its trailer was circulated around facebook. Being a huge Zombie fan, I will not say no to watching this on the big screen. In a nutshell, this movie is melting pot of stereotypes. Since indie films are commonly associated with gayploitation then why not have an all out gayfest. Kudos to Director Jade Castro and the rest of the crew for creating this hilarious movie that deserves to have a cult following.
Back in the 80′s, Roderick Paulate was comedy icon for transgendered B-Movies. It’s great to see him back on the big screen. One thing about the movie is that there’s never a dull moment in this film even the small scenes. Kerbie and Mart has great chemistry together as both characters starts to have attraction with each other.
So, what happens when a naughty homophobic boy taunts and tease the gays so much? He gets cursed that he too will grow up to be gay like them. Fast forward to Remington who was haunted by a demon in his dreams that gives him a makeover. His life gets complicated when he started to have feelings for his best friend and lost interest in the girl of his dreams. Things got even more more stranger when there’s a serial killer on the loose that targets gays and of course zombies. Our guy Remington has to choose between accepting his curse or “straighten” up. What happens next? Just watch the movie!
