SM Master Chef Cooking Marathon at Hypermart Iloilo

As part of SM Hypermart’s 10th year anniversary, together with Unilever food solutions they came up with 3 month long marathon of cooking demos nationwide. Cooking enthusiasts as well as homemakers gets to learn easy and hassle free cooking using ready to use ingredients.
The Iloilo leg of the cooking marathon was held last July 21, 2011 with Mr. Jose Ricky Paborada as the Chef for the day. Chef Jose is currently the house chef and instructor at Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus. His work experience in Dusit Hotel Manila and winning silver medals in seafood cocktail on 1995 & 1996 Chefs of Parade.

Chef Jose demonstrates cooking Beef Adobe using Knorr Tamarind Base as key ingredient as substitute for vinegar. The result is quiet delicious.

Next after Beef Adobo is Menudo tapas style. Unlike the conventional menudo, there’s no potatoes but it still tastes great.

The last dish for the demo was the Bistek with pesto sauce. Now this dish is more than the usual Bistek. With Merci Glace sauce and Cheesy Pesto, it gives the flavor another dimension.
After the demo, a mini-raffle draw gives the audience chance to bring home Knorr products. So watch out for the August cooking marathon again at Iloilo Hypermart branches.
