Masskara Bacolod 2010 Photo Gallery and Video

Masskara Festival showcases kaleidoscope of colorful masks and costumes. For photographers, the event is a visual feast to the eyes as well to the lens.
Tips for photographers for Masskara Festival
- Pack your photo gears lightly, it’s best to have assistant nearby to help carry your load.
- Bring umbrella, you can never tell when it’s going to rain. I end up leaving the festival early because of the rain.
- Bring a mat to sit on. There are times when you’re required to sit on the ground to give way to people behind you. Since sitting is not an option for me, I had to endure standing for hours.
- The best time place photograph the competiting group is at the assembly area. Be there 1 hour before the street dance. Once the group starts with the streetdance, they move really fast!
Masskara 2010 Video Montage
I feel so deprived when I wasn’t able to get much video since the police at the entrance refused to let me in for the Masskara Dance Competition despite having a Photographer’s ID. By the time they let me in, most of the groups finished performing already.
