About the Blog
It’s been almost 3 years since I got this domain and only when it was on January 2009 when I decided to make it a blog. I initially wanted to make an Iloilo Portal site. I was previously involved in a defunct Iloilo portal project when the team disbanded nine years ago. I currently manage the ilonggo.ph portal site. I’ll work on the promotion side of it once I have the time, manpower and budget.
I realized that running a blog is much more easier and fun to update than the latter. I find it ironic to be a stranger in my own place. I realized that when a passenger beside me in the plane en route to Iloilo asked me about the tourist spot in Iloilo. My mind went blank for a bit and told her the old churches and stuff. If we have guest from abroad, the only place we could only recommend is Boracay.
Everything changed when an article in a national newspaper raved about the unknown spots in western visayas and that inspired me to get to know our neighboring cities. Having too much free time pushed me to try travelling from Iloilo to throughout Western Visayas. I have this obsession to keep my blog as authentic as possible and based on actual experience. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this blog as much as I enjoyed writing.
