    Hi! the sportshouse in sm city, is it a fitness gym? and I wanna know if winners gym is already open? where can i find it? (sorry I suck at directions) thank you!

    @thessa the sportshouse in sm city is a sports gear shop not a gym. The winner’s gym is at the top floor of building where there’s mercury drugstore in jaro before SM Jaro.

    Hi. Inquiring about rates for Winners gym. I will be in iloilo for approx 1 month and would like to use their facility. Do you know what kind of machines they have and if they have any cardio classes.

    I think Winner’s gym has closed. Most of their branches are now under new management. They had a bad reputation as a gym though.

    Here are some of the good gyms in the city.

    Housefit Gym
    -Behind Robinson’s Iloilo, Near Super public market
    -another branch is near Doctor’s Hospital
    >decent equipment
    >lots of weight plates
    >6+ft bar, not olympic bar though,
    >lots of bikes and treadmills
    >offers aerobics classes and PT service
    >instructors always watch you and are eager to teach

    Clubfit/Infinite Fitness
    -Besides Robinson’s Iloilo. About a block near the National Bookstore entrance.
    >decent equipment as well
    >Has a power cage
    >could use more weight plates
    >few cardio equipment
    >instructor isn’t that attentive

    Skyline Gym
    -Behind the Jaro Cathedral Church and beside the Jaro Public Central School.
    >has lots of weight machines(if you prefer that)
    >few weight plates
    >has a squat rack with safety catch
    >offers boxing, aerobics and (not sure if still available) belly dancing

    Gyms here are usually priced from 500-600 Php/month. Most walk in sessions are around 60-75 Php.

    Don’t bother signing up for the Gyms in the Hotels. They’re too expensive and they have very little equipment.

    I can’t post the phone numbers because they sometimes change them. You can Google or search for them in facebook/friendster.

    skyline…worst gym ever,was there 2 years ago and damo na da manug takaw,esp when la gawa tao during noon,personel doest even care..its a branch of winners gym so better go to grand hotel gym,safety pa gamit nyo

    I found this gym, Star Slimmer Fitness gym right across SM Delgado, above the appliance shop… I’m planning to go train there myself, starting Monday..
