Iloilo Celso Ledesma Mansion (Eagle Mansion)

The Celso Ledesma Mansion along the Ortiz street is famously known as the Eagle Mansion. It gained its moniker from the eagle statues adorning the pillars as well as solitary eagle that used to perch in its cage. The mansion was owned by Don Celso Ledesma and was built around 1920′s. The mansion survived World War 2 since the Japanese troops were reserving the place as their headquarters but did not materialize.
If you’re heading to Guimaras via Ortiz port, you’ll definitely pass by the mansion. The mansion is currently not open to the public.
