Iloilo Amigo Plaza Mall

IMG 0230

The new Iloilo Amigo Plaza mall sports brand new fixtures and high end classy interiors. The ground level area of the mall are comprised mostly of fashion boutiques, women’s accessories and jewelries. The second floor area of the mall remains closed to the public. Numerous speculations buzzed around that a Callcenter company will occupy the area. That remains yet to be seen

Despite the classy and modern look the mall, there’s not much to be seen unfortunately. The place needs to beef up with more restaurants or cafe at least. There’s always room for improvement and let’s hope there’s more to come.

There’s few shops I’m missed at the old Amigo Plaza. The Jorndin Gift shop where I bought all my exchange gifts when I was in grade 3 up to senior year in high school. Cosmo arcade where I used to play Samurai Shodown, Soul Calibur One and a bit of King of Fighters. Payless store where I bought old Sega Cartridge games. Feline’s for the affordable novo t-shirts for t-shirt printing. Winner’s Gym where I used to practice arnis every saturdays. China Arts for the oil painting supplies, watercolors and other art materials. The jewelry store where they sell pirated PC games and I got suckered into buying it.  Last but not the least, the Madam Mahalia (I forgot the name) fortune teller that sells creepy looking amulets and potions.

    Where did China Arts store transfer to? It’s the place I always go to for art supply, now I don’t know where to get them.

    @Jan
    China Arts has closed down its amigo branch long time ago. I’m not so sure where it transferred.
