Iloilo 2010 Elections – List of Candidates

Once again it’s election season here in Iloilo. Let’s hope that the city will maintain a peaceful and violence-free election. Noticeably present from the roster is the legendary Mel Carreon. Surprisingly, roster of candidates for councilors greatly outnumbers the previous 2007 number of candidates. There’s an interesting mix of young faces, veterans in politics, businessmen and etc. Let’s see what gimmicks they have up in their sleeves, and please no more noisy campaign vans early in the morning por favor.

    No.1 city councilor inday Perla Zulueta gwapa, maalam labi sa tanan may binuhatan sa konseho!! indi gd day mgpatapak sa “laughing stuck” sang knoseho ta la na sa ya pulos, unod ulo ya hangin kg yab-ok!

    Congressman: Raul Gonzalez Jr.
    Mayor: Larry Jamora
    Vice Mayor: Antonio Pesina

    Face it Jed is not going to win, so save your energy. Unless you are relative then go ahead and keep hoping he will win. Just remember I told you so. I’m partly psychic, and this time I’m 100 percent sure that Jed will be the last, but first to run out of the country to save face.

    Please vote Counselor Joshua C. Alim. I knew him for almost 13 years he is credible and identified as pro-poor.

    I will vote for Gonzales Sr. or Jamora for Mayor.
    Vice will be Pesina.
    For congressman, not yet definite. But definite not for Treñas.

    I’ll never vote for Jerry Trenas as Congressman. He is very corrupt as Mayor of Iloilo City for 3 terms. He has only made it bec. he has the ‘money machine’ from his hurakot of public funds at the expense of the poor Ilonggos. Also, his wife has very poor public relations too, a ‘high hat’. Very proud couple.

    Trenas has been diverting public funds to his own pocket.

    STOP the panghurakot! NO to TRENAS!

    Shame on him, shame on him as an Ateneo alumnus. Self enrichment is his main motive to run for higher public office & not sincere public service!
