Google Earth Goofs – Jaro is now located in Guimaras
Google Earth’s coordinates are out whack. I was testing something out in google earth when I noticed something’s a bit off. As I zoom the map, I thought that Guimaras Island has Jaro mark on it. Jaro was nowhere to be seen on the Iloilo map. It migrated to Guimaras instead. I wish there’s some way to correct that in case some unfortunate traveler will rely on it and end up in Guimaras.
Check out the Old Mandurriao airport. The satellite photos must be really vintage that there’s still a plane on it! The New Iloilo Airport was last inaugurated on June 13, 2007. I’m guessing the photos probably wasn’t updated for more than two years.
