Callbox Cities Dubbed as Outsourcing Hubs of Tomorrow
Iloilo City, Philippines – March 2009 – Iloilo City and Davao City have been recently chosen by KPMG, a professional services firm providing Audit, Tax and Advisory services in 144 countries, as two of the top locations to watch in the outsourcing boom. Technology news site, CNET News, dubbed the same cities as “outsourcing hubs of tomorrow” after making it into their list of top ten (10) outsourcing centers in Asia Pacific and top thirty (30) in the world.
But for Callbox Sales & Marketing Solutions, Iloilo and Davao are already the outsourcing hubs of today.
Five years ago Callbox Sales and Marketing Solutions saw the potentials of Iloilo City as its first outsourcing center in the country. Staffed and built by the best minds and talents the City of Love has to offer, it grew to 500 and became the first homegrown call center in Western Visayas. After three years, it was recognized for its contribution in uplifting of the lives of Ilonggos, earning for itself the Urban Leadership Award, as Information and Communications Technology Champion, awarded by the Canadian Urban Institute of the Philippines.
In 2008 it began operations in Davao City after leasing two high-rise floors in order to accommodate the same scale capacity as Iloilo. The Davao branch is now making waves of its own as it currently manages some of the larger Callbox accounts.

Callbox owners Rom Agustin and Glen Norris, Americans who had never visited Iloilo or Davao, after careful research, and considerable scouting, decided on the road less traveled and strategically passed up favorite outsourcing destinations such as Manila, Cebu, as well as industry projected locations like Pampanga and Bacolod.
“KPMG consults the fortune 100 on where to outsource financial services. Callbox hit the nail on the head by selecting the only two Philippine cities named in their Asia Pacific top 10 and Top 30 worldwide for its two main outsourcing locations,” enthused Agustin. “In order to grow large quickly, we needed our own pond for a while.
