Cabatuan Iloilo Plaza – Banana Leaf Arch

The “Paklang” or Banana Leaf arc is the notable structure in Cabatuan. This structure symbolizes the pride of Cabatuanons which is the “Tinuom” dish. The banana leaves are essential in cooking “Tinuom”.
The Cabatuan park grounds are well maintained and the shrubs are well sculpted. The folks here are well disciplined, you won’t find rubbish scattering about.
The Cabatuan covered gym has graciously hosted events and regional competitions. Near the covered gym, Tomas Valenzuela Confesor’s remains were buried there. His grave was marked with his statue and a memorial plaque. The statue of Jose Rizal was placed facing the Cabatuan church. The statue of Andres Bonifacio occupies in the heart of plaza.

Sir:
Please be corrected. The statue that you are referring to in your write-up; “The statue of Martin Delgado occupies in the heart of plaza”, is that of Andres Bonifacio.
The statue of Martin Delgado is in the adjacent town of Sta. Barabara.
Thank you for featuring our town.
