Bluejay Coffee Iloilo offers Budget Snacks
Bluejay Coffee presents their latest budget snacks namely, The Chef Burger, Baked Penne Pasta and Checkered toast. Initially, the Bluejay coffee is known for their coffee, pastries and high end dishes with imported ingredients. You can chill at Bluejay coffee without denting your pocket.
I was really surprised one day when I dropped by and saw that they offer budget snacks as low as 30 pesos. In fact the burger and drink cost only 49 pesos. It’s pretty affordable considering that most coffee shops are pricey. I usually spent an average of 120 pesos whenever I decide to have a heavy snacks on coffeeshops. Don’t get me started on Starbucks. Anyway, here’s my personal take on the budget meals.
Chef Burger costs only 49 pesos and comes with regular iced tea. What I really like about this burger is the garden fresh lettuce and tomato slice. The beef patty is crispy and flavorful, reminds me of the burgers my mother used to cook. The Bluejay Chef burger patties are created to suit filipino taste buds. I heard that Bluejays will sell their very own ready to cook burger patties soon. Watch out for that.
Baked Penne Pasta is cooked to perfection. The pasta is baked with tangy Bechamel sauce, mushrooms and creamy cheese sauce on top. Definitely taste great when served piping hot. At 88 pesos only, you can expect regular sized serving.
Checkered toast is the dish that really caught my eye. The chocolate and caramel syrup was meticulously spread on toast. The bittersweet dutch chocolate and caramel are prepared exclusively at Bluejay. The toast complements well with Cafe Americano and Cappuccino. Believe it or not, the toast only costs 30 pesos.

Gen Luna Branch – Right across the corner of San Agustin along General luna. The coffeeshop is near the Camella homes office.
