2010 Philippine Blog Awards – Best Visayas Lifestyle Blog Awarded to Ilonggos Network!
Ilonggos Network bags the Best Visayas Lifestyle Blog last November 27, 2010 at the Philippine Blog Awards held at The Venue, Smallville. It felt surreal for me to win something. I never thought that this blog will get some recognition. My mind went completely blank as my blog’s name was called out as the winner. I wasn’t able to say anything other than generic thank yous and what not.
As I went back to my seat after the photo ops, I remembered all the crazines I went through to get the articles. Got harrassed by a “promo clerk” for taking pictures, endured scorching heat of the sun taking photos of festivities, walked in complete darkness at early dawn just to get to Passi early, nearly got crushed in a crowded festival and more that I can hardly remember the details.
But let’s not forget the good stuff, I’m touched at the generosity of the local businesses in Iloilo for their support of Iloilo Bloggers. Que Group of Companies (Coffeebreak, Green Mango, Rice n More, The venue, Tinapayan and etc), BlueJay, Ted’s Batchoy, Tibiao Fish Spa, Deocampos, Carles Shangrila, TRJ Cargo, RGies, The Daily Guardian, Globe, Nokia, Sunsilk, Geiser Maclang, Pepsi and SM City.
Last year of 2009, the blog was deindexed by google due to defective plugins I installed. I almost gave up on it that I registered a new domain and started migrating the contents. Good thing the site was given another chance by google 2 weeks later. Since then, I started the updating the site although sporadic due to the nature of my work.
I would like to thank my family, friends, iloilo bloggers and special someone for the support. Without you guys, I wouldn’t find the patience and endurance to keep going. A special thank you to all visitors whose continued patronage to this blog kept me going.

you are truly deserving. keep on doing what you are doing best. it’s perfectly normal to have hits and misses but the important thing is learning from all of it and moving on to the next. besides, your site is worth all the trouble, my dear!
